What's cooking in Marie et Marcelle's kitchen - April 2026
Marie et Marcelle's offering is inspired by my French heritage and time growing up on the family farm, surrounded by beautiful seasonally and locally grown produce. Since day one, the Marie et Marcelle tagline has been "Food that blossoms with the seasons", because this is what we do. Our menus evolve with the seasons, using produce at their very best: grown in the right conditions, harvested at the right moment, and prepared with real care.
Every year, there is one vegetable that officially announces the beginning of Spring and a promise to warmer days. One of our suppliers has recently confirmed that this long awaited time was finally here: asparagus season is back!
Green. White. Purple.
Blanched. Roasted. Grilled. Pickled.
We love them every single way and our clients will enjoy this season's finest in their different forms over the next few weeks. If you are curious to know how we incorporate them in our Spring menu, please do reach out to discuss this further.
On a more personal note -
Cooking with asparagus feels like a trip down memory lane. My grandmother Marcelle, used to grow them at the farm. I remember white asparagus being served at family lunches and dinners, simply blanched, served lukewarm, seasoned with a French salad dressing. Very simple but yet delicious.
